The picturesque town of Enkhuizen is a 45-minute drive from Bungalow park Oudkarspel. Enkhuizen is a city in West Friesland located on the Markermeer and the IJsselmeer and is visited by thousands of tourists every year, because of the marinas, the Zuiderzeemuseum and Sprookjeswonderland. Enkhuizen is also called “the Herring City” because of its past as a center for herring fishing.

This fantastic amusement park for children started off as a joke, by a man who made a leprechaun doll back in 1973. Since then it has grown into a full-fledged amusement park, with many fun and sometimes exciting attractions, a large playground and various on-stage performances.

How about ending your day with a tasty pancake or 2? At restaurant ‘de Vergulde Koekenpan’ you can get yourself some terrific Dutch pancakes. If you prefer some snacks or Dutch fries, you are always welcomed at snack pavilion ‘de Vrolijke Friet’.
Walk back in time on the cobblestone streets in the outdoor museum of the Zuiderzee museum, where you can meet the inhabitants of the fishing town of Urk. In the museum many different collections are on exhibit. You can make an impressive trip around the Zuiderzee and experience how people lived on this inland sea in those days. The exhibition takes you on a journey from Enkhuizen across the impressive Afsluitdijk to Friesland.
Restaurant de Mastenbar
The Mastenbar is located at the Compagnieshaven, the busiest transient haven in Enkhuizen. There you will definitely enjoy lunch or dinner while looking over the grandiose IJsselmeer. From the restaurant you look out over Het Krabbersgat, which is the busiest sailing route of the IJsselmeer.
